Two weeks back, it was announced that Jack Roush, Jr., would be driving the Number 00 Media Car at the Mustang Challenge race held at the Ford Mustang 45th Anniversary celebration in Birmingham, Alabama. The race took place Saturday, and Roush, Jr., put on a good show considering he had never tried this particular type of race before.

The 2009 Professional Championship season for Formula Drift starts this weekend, and Ford-sponsored drifter Vaughn Gittin, Jr. is taking to the track in a brand new Mustang. Gittin retired his previous car, a 2008 model, in favor of a brand new 2010. The 2010 Falken Tire Ford Mustang retains some of the stock Mustang components, but this thing is built to drift.

The Mustang Challenge Racing Series has a double header planned for the weekend of April 18-19 at the Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama. Jack Roush, Jr., son of the founder of Roush Performance, will be on hand to drive the pace car. Oh, and Roush Performance is going to be showing off their 2010 Roush Mustangs at Barber, which plays host to the Mustang's 45th Anniversary Celebration that same weekend.
